The Church Under Attack

1 Peter 4:17 says, “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begins with us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” The government is going to begin its attack on the Church in the United States. Of course, there have already been some attacks. The Catholic Church has been fighting one such battle. However, these attacks are going to increase; and you will certainly see the conflict that will arise between the government and the church with the Health Care law taking full effect.

Is this a battle the church will win? No, the church cannot win until God sends it through a refining fire to cleanse out all that is rotten within the church. “But who can abide the day of his coming? And who shall stand when he appears? Because, he is like a refiners fire; one who washes everything clean…he shall purify the sons of Levi (his church), and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness.” (Malachi 3: 2-3) How can the Lord prepare his church for the judgment that comes on the nations of the world? There is only one way: purge out the unfruitful members of the church and the dross from the lives of the others which holds them back who survive the fire. The members of God’s true church must be cleansed from the sins that overpower them today, so they can be a beam of light to shine out to the lost in the world that are caught up in God’s judgment on the nations.

Today, God’s church is ill prepared for such an attack. When will this attack occur? I have not heard God say anything specific, but it is my feeling this attack will be during these next two years and beyond. But first God is doing what he says in his word, and that is judgment begins at his house.  After that, he will begin to punish those who have attacked his church and will deal with the nations; especially the United States and Europe.  “He cried in my ears with a loud voice saying, ‘Cause them (angels) that have charge over the city to draw near; even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand… Go through the midst of the city…and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and cry for all the abominations that are done in their midst.’ And to the others (other angels) he said in my hearing, ‘Go, and follow that angel through the city and smite: do not spare any or have any pity. Slay the young and the old, both maidens and little children and women: but do not go near any man on whom has had my mark placed on them. Begin at my sanctuary (the church)!’” (Ezekiel 9:1, 4-6)

You can see from these verses in Ezekiel that God ordered his judgment to begin at the temple which in our day is the bodies of his children. We are the temple of the Lord if we are a true Christian. It is us who will go through a refining fire before God’s wrath finishes up destroying the rest of those in this country and other nations who are lost. We have to be purified and made strong to show the unsaved the only solution to their problems is through God via Jesus Christ. If we still have all that dross in our lives that restrict us, God’s wrath will destroy us, too when he judges this nation.

Isaiah 10:12 adds further light on this subject. It says, “It shall come to pass, that when the Lord has performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem (his church), I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria (nations and governments that attacked his church), and the glory of his high looks.” God always starts with his people and then passes judgment on those who attack his people who were ordered by God to punish his people in the first place. These governments and nations and others do not know that God is behind what they are doing, and that he is actually calling the shots.

Just like when Pharaoh unwittingly refused to allow Israel to leave Egypt to worship God; he was actually doing God’s bidding all the time. He allowed God to reveal himself through the judgments he passed onto Egypt.

The church in the United States needs to wake up and cleanse itself, now. There is no time left to keep going through rituals. God is not pleased with this dog and pony show. He says, “Those in my church keep practicing their religion every Sunday, thinking I am pleased with one hour of acknowledgment. The pastors and priests lead my flock through their ceremony, thinking they are touching my heart. Your ceremony and your weekly acknowledgment of me are a stench in my nostrils. I will lay traps before your steps and your family will step into them. Your neighbor and your friend will perish.” So wake up church. Do it now or you will face what Jeremiah said in his book.

“The Lord says, ‘Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth. And the slain of the Lord shall be…from one end of the earth to the other: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground. Howl, you shepherds (pastors and priests) and cry, and wallow yourselves in the ashes; you principal of his flock (church members who are aware of God’s judgment): for the day of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and you shall fall like a desirable vessel. The shepherd shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape. A voice of the cry of the shepherds and a howling of the principal of the flock shall be heard: because the Lord has spoiled their pasture.” (Jeremiah 25: 32-36)

This is truly something you do not want to live through. Your own destruction and the loss of yours congregations is heading your way if you do not get your house in order today.
